🧭 Step-by-Step B.Tech Admission Process


1️⃣ Appear for the Entrance Exam
MHT-CET (for Maharashtra State)
JEE Main (for other states or national-level colleges)

2️⃣ Register for CAP (Centralised Admission Process)
Visit the official website:  cetcell.mahacet.org
Create a login & fill the application form
Upload documents and choose category (General/OBC/SC/ST/EWS)
Pay the application fee

3️⃣ Document Verification
Online/offline document verification by FC (Facilitation Centres)

4️⃣ Choice Filling & Locking
Fill your college + branch preferences
Lock your choices before the deadline

5️⃣ CAP Rounds (Seat Allotment)
There are usually 3 CAP rounds + 1 institute-level round
You get a college based on your CET score + cut-off + category

6️⃣ Accept Seat & Report to College
If satisfied with the seat, freeze/accept it
Upload documents, pay the seat acceptance fee
Go to the allotted college & confirm admission
