What is IIT?

How to Get into an IIT?

Admission to IITs is based on the Joint Entrance

Examination (JEE), which is considered one of the toughest exams in the world. The process includes two stages:

  1. JEE Main – Qualifying exam conducted by NTA.
  2. JEE Advanced – Only top-ranking students from JEE Main can appear for JEE Advanced, which is the entrance exam for IITs.

Lakhs of students appear for JEE every year, but only a few thousand make it to IITs. This makes the competition extremely intense.

    • In recent years, companies like Flipkart, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Ola, Swiggy, and CRED have offered packages above ₹1 Crore in India.

  • International Offers:

    • Companies from the US, Japan, Singapore, and Europe offer international roles with salaries going up to ₹2–3 Crores per annum.

  • Sectors Hiring from IITs:

    • Technology (Google, Meta, Microsoft)
    • Finance (Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan)
